Flu Vaccination Clinics
There are two types of flu vaccinations - one for the over 65 year olds and one for the under 65 year olds with Long Term Conditions.
We will receive enough flu vaccinations for the over 65 year olds prior to the open walk-in clinics on Saturday 3rd & 10th October 2020 so please just turn up to be vaccinated. We will open at 8.30am until 2pm
Strict social distancing will be in place and additional staff will be available to direct and assist patients.
Due to the staggered delivery dates of our under 65 year old vaccinations we will only be receiving a limited amount of stock prior to our open walk-in flu vaccination clinics on Saturday the 3rd and 10th October 2020. Please be aware that we will be getting further deliveries but cannot guarantee we will have enough for all under 65 year olds on the Saturday walk-in clinics.
However, we will have a bookable clinic on Monday 19th October for patients, under the age of 65, with a Long Term Condition. Once this clinic is full we will be creating further clinics.
If you are attending a routine appointment with any other Clinician please let the reception staff know and (if possible) they will book you to have the vaccination at the same time.
Registered Carers are eligible for the flu vaccination.
It was advertised on the national news that patients who live with a patient that were ‘shielding’ will also be eligible for the flu vaccination. However, it has recently been announced by Public Health England that this will depend on the availability of vaccines and we will not start vaccinating this cohort of patients until we have vaccinated all the patients who are over 65 years of age and patients under 65 years of age with Long Term Conditions.
It was also announced that the 50 to 65 years of age will also be eligible for the flu vaccination this year. However, these patients will not be offered the vaccination until all of the above patients have been vaccinated.
