What is eConsult?
eConsult is an online consultation tool that helps GPs manage patient requests and queries through digital triage. eConsult makes it easier for patients to talk to their doctor and help GPs to prioritise and deliver care through message, phone and video. Make a request here.
All patient queries and requests are triaged by the doctors and prioritised based on clinical need. We aim to respond to all requests received within five working days. Once capacity has been met for the day, eConsult will be closed until the following working day. If eConsult is closed and you feel your problem is medically urgent and needs to be dealt with on the day, please telephone the surgery or call 111 out of hours.
All our registered patients are welcome, and as a parent or carer you can use eConsult on behalf of a patient.
When can I use it?
eConsult is open 8am - 12pm Monday - Friday, until we have reached capacity for the day. Once capacity has been met for the day, eConsult will be closed until the following working day. We aim to respond between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday
Please do not use eConsult in an emergency! Please dial 999 or 111 as usual.
When will I get a response?
We aim to respond to all patient requests within 5 working days - Please check your eConsult account regularly for a response. If you have chosen the preference of a telephone response, the GP will agree a time with you through the messaging system first. Please make sure you are available to take the phone call.
If you feel you require an appointment, please try to contact us as early as possible on the day - Contacting us earlier in the day will give us more opportunity to deal with your request appropriately.
Please ensure that home visits are requested before 10:00am
